A couple good graphics/ photos will be needed for effect.

Here is a nice site to help you generate a color scheme. The scheme can then be saved and adjusted. Your consultant will need the colors in html format. Play around with the different tabs to experience the complete functionality of this site.

Fonts fonts fonts
A couple different fonts should be dominant throughout your site. The font size and color are also important factors to consider, as well as style (bold, regular, italics, etc.).
